M.A. Salgueiro has unique rugs exposed in a restricted area of our showroom. We are talking about magnificent rugs, true works of art, some of which are the world’s finest. One of the rugs exposed, has the same density of a similar one recorded in the Guinness book of records. This is a rug from china, 100% natural silk, measuring 0.50mx0.36m = 0.19m2. The knot type is asymmetric, Persian, and with a density of 1000lines - 33/33. This equates to a density of approximately 10.76 million knots/m2.

It’s considered a unique piece in terms of density. Today it’s almost impossible to make another similar rug, given the difficulty of production.
